Birthday Card

Today is my mom's birthday, so i spent the day hanging out with her. We went to Macy, Wegemans, a nail salon and out to eat. If i had looked at the sales and seen that Micheals has cartridges for 9.99 i would have went over there because it's right next to wegemans :(  I'll try to go before the sale ends. I think the card i made for her turned out really cute and as her present i bought her the olay pro x cleansing system. It's a facial brush that is similar to the clairsonic but at a fracation of the cost ($36.99). I also bought one for myself i've been using it since Wednesday and i love it. The first time i used it i took ponds cold cream to take off my makeup and then used this baby with my face wash and still lots of makeup showed up on the brush head and all of that was getting left on my face before i bought this, and  my pores look a little smaller too. Anyways enough beauty talk on to my card here it is. It's a bigger card 5x7 and i used a stamp set from stamping up. I stamped this girl on white cardstock and colored her in using colored pencils and chalk. I used two different color purples as the a border for her and did some doodling around it. I put the green paper through the cuttlebug with the swiss dots folder, but that was rather since the paper was bigger than the folder. I used some yellow ribbon and made a bow and used some left over paper for the birthday sentiment which reads: I hope your birthday is like totally cool. I wanted to make sure my mom felt young and cool... she liked the card a lot. Thanks for stopping by :)

Scrapbook Page

One thing I've been wanting to do for a while is make scrapbook pages. I've only made one page before and it didnt turn out that great so i thought i would try again. I'm sure scrapbooking would be a lot easier if i had the gypsy but I dont. Anyways I think for this being only my second layout I've ever done i think it turned out pretty cute. The layout is of me and my best friend Ben. Theses pictures were taken 2 years ago back when i still lived in California.
I took two 12x12 paper and i cut one down to 10x10,  and then i took my ek sucess scalloped scallop punch and punched all around the paper. The cream mat for my photos are cut at 3x4 and then purple one is 2 3/4 by 3 3/4 I think. The royal bff is from the once a upon a princess cartridge, which i bought for myself two weeks ago when Micheals had cartridges in the ad listed at 19.99. I guess it was a misprint ,but no one gave me a hard time, and i walked out the store with it for 20 dollars :) The phone is from designer calendar. I used the flip button for the first time  on the phone so it would go with the layout. I used some bing and my white gel pen on both the royal bffs and the phone. I used the phone on this layout because Ben and i spend hours on the phone, and lastly i thought my layout need something eles so i cut some ribbon and tied two bows for each side. Thanks for stopping by.

My Christmas Cards

So theses are the Christmas cards that i made this year.  All of my friends loved their cards.  So here are some pictures i took of them i think they turned out pretty cute and they were great decoration in the house until i sent them out. I used the dcwv christmas matstack solids for the background and i embossed it with the cuttlebug snowflake folder, and i used white cardstock. I used paper doll dress up for the santa and the elfs, Create a Critter for the reindeer, and winter frolic for the snowmen and ice skater. For santa and the elf's i

used my peachy keen stamps the everyday character faces. Speaking of Peachy Keen Stamps i was so happy on Monday because i found out that i was a winner from Kathy's surprise birthday hop. I won the Laughy Taffy Stamp Set, some ink and a white gel pen :D I can't wait for it to get here so i can play with them.
